Agustin “Gus,” Abalo is a seasoned renewable energy industry veteran with over ten years of experience in solar development, project acquisition, deal origination, and management:
- “Point to Point” Project Developer with over 15 years of experience in renewable energy and real estate development.
- Proven track record of managing multiple successful projects simultaneously in different jurisdictions.
- Successfully handled all aspects of M&A and P&S transactions as principal (both buy and sell side).
- Experience navigating complex political landscapes and negotiating with governmental entities.
- Deep understanding of transacting and operating with Institutional capital.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
As a developer, Gus was responsible for green-fielding the broadest portfolio of SREC 1 projects in Massachusetts’ first solar program (42-MW DC out of 400-MW DC).
In his latest role at Cypress Creek Renewables, he was involved in transactions totaling hundreds of megawatts in the distributed generation space with a combined CAPEX in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
Gus is regularly invited to speak at industry conferences and enjoys a deep network of C-Suite industry professionals.
Eric Sieckmann
Eric Sieckmann is an experienced financial executive who has been employed in the Renewable Energy, Merchant IPP, and Regulated Utilities spaces. Eric has extensive skills in managing teams, running financial transactions, financial modeling, and operational forecasting for generation assets. Through his experiences, Eric developed a thorough knowledge of the power industry, including tax equity project financing, RTO/ISO mechanics, generation dispatch, commodity hedging, renewables, energy storage, power purchase agreements (including renewable offtake, power blocks, and full requirements), and tolling contracts.
